Imagine Tours - Affordable Cycling Adventures
About Imagine Tours
Imagine Tours offers cycling tours to scenic spots in the U.S. and abroad … places we’ve always wanted to ride and often suggested by our participants. The company began in 1989 when it launched its “flagship” event, California Tour North, a 5-day tour that grew to 700 riders. CTN was soon joined by California Tour South and Canada’s Big Island Tour. Still owned and operated by one of the two original founders, Imagine Tours is a part-time venture now, running just a few small tours. And we always try to keep the tours as affordable as possible (see how at this link).
"I have been on three cycling tours with Imagine Tours and without a doubt each one has been a
special experience in its own way! Nancy does a tremendous job of routing scenic courses, providing
exquisite customer service, and creating a friendly open atmosphere for all levels of cyclists."

Our cyclists tend to be regular recreational riders, with a fairly wide range of riding speeds and styles, and some have been riding with us for years. The difficulty level varies from tour to tour, but you can usually count on at least some hilly or mountainous terrain. Distances are usually about 45 or 50 miles each day, sometimes with an option for longer mileage.
"Having taken more than 10 trips with Imagine Tours, I continue to be impressed with every new
tour. From cycling the Washington Cascades to rolling over the cobblestone streets of Spain,
every Imagine Tour I've taken has exceeded my expectations. The personal attention, friendliness
of the staff and the creative choice of routes are the reasons I'll continue to tour with Imagine."
- Melinda S. California
We always provide luggage transportation and vehicle support. The support vans hand out water, snacks … and a ride if necessary. But you’re encouraged to get in condition before the tour so you can see the sights by bicycle ... not by van. *
Because we search out the most scenic and remote routes, sometimes you’ll stay in the only motel in town and eat at the local mom-and-pop café. Other times you’ll enjoy more upscale accommodations and a fine restaurant. It all depends on the tour and the availability. *
Imagine the possibilities ... and come ride with us!

* China tours are the exceptions. Cyclists can ride half days or less, and even non-cyclists can enjoy the tours from the van. There's a seat for each participant in the support vehicles, so you can ride as much or as little as you want. And the hotels all have 3- or 4-star ratings with many amenities and an all-you-can eat breakfast buffet.
